For your convenience, Red SwanSM will distribute the proceeds from your jewelry sales directly to an organization of your choice. We issue and mail the check so you don't have to. Please follow the steps below to use your earnings for charitable donations:
You may designate an organization of your choice to receive the proceeds of your sales. Recommended organizations include the following:
The organization you choose must meet the requirements of our Anti-Money Laundering Program under the USA Patriot Act and other criteria that Red Swan may establish from time to time. Though we intend to provide an agnostic giving platform, Red Swan reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse to forward sale proceeds as directed (and, in such case, Red Swan will pay the proceeds to the seller).
You must pre-authorize the organization before you and your friends submit your jewelry to Red Swan. To do so, visit our register an organization page and input the name and other requested information regarding your chosen organization. You may also call our customer support line at 1-888-309-SWAN for assistance. To see a list of previously approved charities, click here.
After receiving your pre-authorization request, we will perform certain diligence to confirm the organization's eligibility. This will include, among other things, a screen for compliance with our Anti- Money Laundering Program under the USA Patriot Act and a Google or other internet-based search. We will also contact the recipient organization to obtain written confirmation of its willingness to accept the proposed donation.
Upon our receipt of the acceptance letter from your designated charity, we will send an Authorized Charity Code to you by email. Share the code with any referrals who are participating with you in giving to the charity.
The Safe-Paks that you and your referrals will use to submit jewelry include an Item Submission Form. This sheet contains a check box for you to indicate that your proceeds should be directed to a charity and a space in which to write the Authorized Charity Code we provided for the organization. If the box is left unchecked or the Authorized Charity Code is incomplete or invalid, the payment will be issued to the seller.

After we receive your Safe-Pak and appraise your jewelry, we will send you (or the respective seller) a check stub showing the amount of the sale proceeds for your items. If you are unsatisfied with the amount or would like your items back, simply call 1-888-309-SWAN within 10 days of the date on the stub. The items will then be returned to you free of charge. Otherwise, your sale to Red Swan is effective upon expiration of the 10 day period, and we will promptly forward a check in the amount of the sale proceeds as a donation from you to the designated organization.
The check stub is the only documentation you will receive from Red Swan. Your designated organization may issue you a receipt for the amount donated through the Red Swan platform.
Certain states require Red Swan to post notification statements with regard to its charitable giving platform. Click here to find the applicable notice language.
There are no costs to participate, no obligations, and no easier, more reliable way to get the most for your unwanted valuables.
If you are not absolutely satisfied with your payment, you may simply notify us at 1-888-309-SWAN within 10 days of the date on the check and return the check to us. The item(s) will then be returned to you free of charge.
